Yesterday, the competitions of the Raziz 'Stage 2' camel race began as part of the 19th Dhafra Festival, organized by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture & Heritage. The races will continue until the 22nd in the Razin area of Abu Dhabi. The gates for camel entry at the race venue were opened in the presence of a large crowd of camel owners and enthusiasts of traditional races and competitions. A total of 479 camels entered the enclosures for eight stages in the 'local' and 'Majahim' categories for the 'Al-Mufareed' age group (Talad 1 and 2, Partners 1 and 2). This is in preparation for their presentation to the judging committees for teeth, classification, and the veterinary and main judging panels. Each stage has 10 valuable prizes, totaling 80 awards. The results of the stages will be announced today on the Razin Camel Race platform. According to the schedule, today the entry of camels for the 'Al-Mufareed' stages in the 'local' and 'Majahim' categories for camels from tribes will begin, as well as a stage for purebred Arabian horses. The results and the awarding of the top winners will take place tomorrow. The organizing committee of the Razin Race has allocated 730 prizes, with a total value of 11 million and 450 thousand dirhams, distributed across 76 stages for camels of sheikhs and tribal camels. These include 38 stages for local camels, 32 stages for Majahim camels, and six stages for purebred Arabian horses, across six age categories: Al-Mufareed, Haqaiq, Lakaya, Eza, Thaniya, and Hawal.
